The Games
Over the last couple months UltimateBet has added a plethora of variants to their mainstay game which is Texas Hold'em. These include no-limit and pot-limit variations (it's not as scary as it sounds! With a maximum buy in of $25 to $50 for the no-limit variants depending on the table you won't be risking your retirement but can take part in this exciting variation). They've also included a version with 1-2-4-8 (miniBlinds) games and if you're feeling particularly crazy you can play their version of dual-flop hold'em.
Coming later in December, UB will start spreading Omaha and then early next year you'll start to see seven card stud.
The Bad Beat Jackpot
UltimateBet now offers bad beat jackpot tables. If you are willing to pay an additional 50 cents a hand jackpot drop you can win the bad beat jackpot which has grown well over $300,000 if your 4 8's or better hand is beaten and both you and your opponent use both hole cards. One thing that makes UltimateBet's Bad Beat Jackpot different than the rest is that they not only pay a share to the winner and loser of the bad beat hand and to the players who were dealt into the hand, but they also pay a share to everyone who is playing the same limit when the jackpot is won.

Buying In
You may have a problem with credit card authorization at UltimateBet because some credit card companies won't authorize charges for online poker sites. UltimateBet offers a huge variety of buy in options though, and although we had an initial authorization problem using Visa directly we easily set up a Firecash account and funded the account instantly with it (just in time to lose their first "Fast Break" tournament in the first round!!).
